The Vision
Encounter2gether is a vision that came out of the Encounter Camp www.encountercamp.co.uk
Having spent 20 years gathering people from very difficult backgrounds to experience God's love and receive freedom and breakthroughs, we now have a vision to mobilise those same people to start New Testament communities in the places they came from.
The Aims
We aim to start church communities across the UK lead by people from difficult backgrounds. These communities will reach and care for those in some of our most underprivileged areas.
We will train leaders and provide support for these communities,
they will be built on these 5 foundations
1. Holy Spirit empowered.
2. Speaking good news.
3. Reaching the most poor and needy.
4. Real community that speaks truth, encourages the timid and helps those who continue to struggle.
5. Honouring those that consider themselves the least honourable.
Training
We run a 2 year training program where those that feel a call to set up and lead encounter2gther communities can get equipped for the task ahead.
The trainees will be either based in their home base or placed in another encounter2gether community.
There are 2 days away every other month for focused learning sessions, comprising of;
1. Story based theology
2. Practical leadership skills
3. Spiritual gifts development
4. Growing in the call of God
